Charlotte and John were pretty much the perfect couple. Fun, outgoing and full of love. They trusted me to capture their big day at Denton Hall in my own creative style and were more than up for any portrait ideas I had, including some puddle reflection photography. Their stylish but relaxed vibe fits perfectly with Denton Hall.

Charlotte & John were effortless to photograph. I knew from when we first spoke that we would get along but when it came to their day it really was just like shooting a friends wedding.
The Story of a Perfect Day
The day started with Charlotte getting ready in the Denton Hall bridal suite with all her lovely bridesmaids. Her stunning Phoenix gown was hidden from view so when she finally slipped it on for the big reveal the girls were blown away, as was her dad!
John and the guys had all got ready together at a local Ilkley pub and then made their way up to Denton for a quick drink in the bar before meeting all their guests at the church. After a beautiful ceremony, they had a lovely drinks reception out on the steps of the Yorkshire Hall where we had the opportunity to grab some family group photos. We then took a nice walk around the stunning grounds for some relaxed wedding portraits, just before the heavens opened and John had to pick Charlotte up for a speedy getaway.
Speeches came next with tears and laughs a plenty in equal measure. The stunning wedding food came from the amazing resident caterers, Box Tree who take care of every wedding at Denton Hall, as well as it’s suppliers! I can highly recommend them!
Once the evening arrived and the sun started to go down more guests arrived and I managed to slip away with the happy couple to capture a few relaxed sunset portraits, which quickly turned a little more moody and mysterious with the onset of some rolling fog. Charlotte & John then partied right into the night with all their guests, throwing some amazing dance moves and just enjoying the love.

Denton Hall was the perfect venue for Charlotte & John’s wedding day. They had exclusive use of the building which meant all their guests could explore its lovely intricacies and details. There was always a pleasant and welcoming feeling from the staff and Brooke, the amazing wedding coordinator, was sensational all day long, making sure we were all well looked after all.
