Last Thursday I headed up to the rustic Chevin Country Park Hotel in Otley for the wedding of Hayley and Matthew. It's a lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings which helped make some simply stunning portraits of this amazing couple. 

Hayley and Matthew got in touch with me on the recommendation of Chelsea and Carl, who's a wedding I shot last year at the Craiglands Hotel in Ilkley. We met late last year, talked about what they had planned for their day and I knew I just had to be a part of this wedding. Luckily they asked me to be their photographer and we have had a blast chatting backwards and forwards on the build-up to the big day. 

In the morning I joined Hayley and the girls at home while the infamous Brad from Bailey wedding Films, my good friend and wingman for the day, joined Matthew and the guys up at the Chevin Lodge where they were getting ready and finishing the final touches to their lovely venue. Both mornings were quite calm and relaxed by all accounts, right up until Hayley put her dress on and I caught a stray claw from the family cat. Luckily no blood hit the dress and we continued up to the Chevin hotel.

After a lovely, relaxed and laughter filled ceremony, we all gathered outside for some family group shots and portraits of the new happy couple. Luckily the weather held off long enough for us to take advantage of the beautiful grounds of the hotel and then up to the actual Chevin itself which overlooks the Yorkshire town of Otley. After some mad dancing and celebrating we managed to grab some sparklers and have a little more fun before I left the guys to party the night away.
